Year Two...Of Time for a New Me

I have been a SparkPeople member for a year now. In that year, I have lost 44 pounds, 22 inches, am in much better shape physically and mentally, and am almost halfway to my goal weight. When I made my goal of losing 100 pounds, I really questioned whether or not I would be able to do it. I have tried so many different diet methods in the past (Nutrisystem, Weight Watchers, TOPS, Slim Fast, no carb, low carb, blood type, Alli, prescription meds) all of which have cost me a lot in money and ...

When I made my goal of losing 100 pounds, I really questioned whether or not I would be able to do it. I have tried so many different diet methods in the past (Nutrisystem, Weight Watchers, TOPS, Slim Fast, no carb, low carb, blood type, Alli, prescription meds) all of which have cost me a lot in money and wasted time, but were not successful at all. After having been on this journey for a year now, I really am beginning to feel like I can make my goal weight. I have received so much support and encouragement from my friends here on SparkPeople, as well as, my family, friends, and co-workers and I believe that is what has made the difference this time around. Thank you to all who have made a difference in my journey!

It's important to remember that eating when I am upset, stressed, lonely, or bored does not solve the problem or ease the pain, it only leads to my feeling worse than I did. It is time to STOP THE MADNESS!!!!

My Goals:
Goal #1: To get in better shape physically.

Goal #2: To exercise at least 500 minutes a month.

Goal #3: To stop comparing my weight loss journey to others and coming to terms with the fact that we are all individuals and no two people lose weight in the same way or the same speed.

My Program:
I have set up an exercise schedule for myself..3 days of cardio and 2 days of strength training each week. I am also doing the calorie count, trying to keep it between 1200-1550 a day.

Personal Information:
I am a huge NASCAR fan. I also love to travel and take pictures.

Thank you for the goodie. I loved watching Jr back on the track. Too bad he got wrecked out, AGAIN. I hope it's not gonna be like this all season. I'll have to find a way to get to all the tracks and start slapping knots on the other drivers heads. The duels are next and I can't wait. GO DALE JR!
