Year Two...Of Time for a New Me

I have been a SparkPeople member for a year now. In that year, I have lost 44 pounds, 22 inches, am in much better shape physically and mentally, and am almost halfway to my goal weight. When I made my goal of losing 100 pounds, I really questioned whether or not I would be able to do it. I have tried so many different diet methods in the past (Nutrisystem, Weight Watchers, TOPS, Slim Fast, no carb, low carb, blood type, Alli, prescription meds) all of which have cost me a lot in money and ...
I have been a SparkPeople member for a year now. In that year, I have lost 44 pounds, 22 inches, am in much better shape physically and mentally, and am almost halfway to my goal weight. When I made my goal of losing 100 pounds, I really questioned whether or not I would be able to do it. I have tried so many different diet methods in the past (Nutrisystem, Weight Watchers, TOPS, Slim Fast, no carb, low carb, blood type, Alli, prescription meds) all of which have cost me a lot in money and wasted time, but were not successful at all. After having been on this journey for a year now, I really am beginning to feel like I can make my goal weight. I have received so much support and encouragement from my friends here on SparkPeople, as well as, my family, friends, and co-workers and I believe that is what has made the difference this time around. Thank you to all who have made a difference in my journey!

It's important to remember that eating when I am upset, stressed, lonely, or bored does not solve the problem or ease the pain, it only leads to my feeling worse than I did. It is time to STOP THE MADNESS!!!!

"Food is food, don't give it any more power than it has, and don't give it any power that I have myself." Valerie Bertinelli from her book Finding It.

My Goals:
Goal #1: To get in better shape physically.

Goal #2: To exercise at least 500 minutes a month.

Goal #3: To stop comparing my weight loss journey to others and coming to terms with the fact that we are all individuals and no two people lose weight in the same way or the same speed.

My Program:
I have set up an exercise schedule for myself..3 days of cardio and 2 days of strength training each week. I am also doing the calorie count, trying to keep it between 1200-1550 a day.

Personal Information:
I am a huge NASCAR fan. I also love to travel and take pictures.

I know what you mean. I've been way off track for a long time time. I've put around 20 back on and I just can't seem to kick myself in the ass hard enough, lol. I'm hoping that when the holidays are over and the junk food is out of the house I'll be able to jump start myself back on track.

I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! emoticon

i am a very proud Jr fan. He had a GR88 race and his interview made my eyes fill up with tears of joy. Seeing him so happy is priceless.

Thanks, I love my jacket. I made the shirt I was wearing. It says, My Sundays belong to Dale Jr 88. It's a one of a kind original, lol. I left the track a happy race fan. I was so excited he got a top 10 finish. I was rooting for Gordon to pass the little punk at the end. SO glad he did. The stands were screaming for Gordon. There were a lot more wanting Gordon to win then there were wanting the little puke to win. I have only heard that kind of screaming for Jr. It was unreal, lol. I know you will have a blast at Bristol.

I'll have the old man take a pic of me in it at the track. I got it for $36.00 at racingusa.com. They had it on their 'deal of the day'. I get emails from them when Dale Jr items are on sale or they get new items. I get most of my Jr stuff there. I keep all my Jr stuff. I have all my Bud 8 stuff too. The big and the small. I can't bring myself to get rid of any of it. I have even been asked if I own any other shirts besides Jr, lol. I show my Jr PRIDE every day! I hope you have a GR88 day.
