I have been a SparkPeople member for a year now. In that year, I have lost 44 pounds, 22 inches, am in much better shape physically and mentally, and am almost halfway to my goal weight. When I made my goal of losing 100 pounds, I really questioned whether or not I would be able to do it. I have tried so many different diet methods in the past (Nutrisystem, Weight Watchers, TOPS, Slim Fast, no carb, low carb, blood type, Alli, prescription meds) all of which have cost me a lot in money and wasted time, but were not successful at all. After having been on this journey for a year now, I really am beginning to feel like I can make my goal weight. I have received so much support and encouragement from my friends here on SparkPeople, as well as, my family, friends, and co-workers and I believe that is what has made the difference this time around. Thank you to all who have made a difference in my journey!
It's important to remember that eating when I am upset, stressed, lonely, or bored does not solve the problem or ease the pain, it only leads to my feeling worse than I did. It is time to STOP THE MADNESS!!!!

Goal #1: To get in better shape physically.
Goal #2: To exercise at least 500 minutes a month.
Goal #3: To stop comparing my weight loss journey to others and coming to terms with the fact that we are all individuals and no two people lose weight in the same way or the same speed.
I have set up an exercise schedule for myself..3 days of cardio and 2 days of strength training each week. I am also doing the calorie count, trying to keep it between 1200-1550 a day.
I am a huge NASCAR fan. I also love to travel and take pictures.

We spent a week on Kauai. We stayed in our room and watched the race. I was so excited to see Jr WIN!!! My eating has been out of control and my exercise has been just a little light walking. Not enough really make a difference. Now that things are calm around here, I need to get back on track so bad. Today has been a good day. It's still early for me so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it continues to go good. Sorry I've been away for so long. I've missed you!

You are so right... it has been a rough year. I have put a total of 34.2 pounds back on. This week I've been a good girl with both food ans fitness. I'm hoping to continue and to do so and get this weight back OFF!

WOW! I've been gone from SP for a long time. I'm so hoping to get back on track and get this weight back off. I haven't forgot about you, just been real busy. My daughter go married last week in Vegas. It was a blast. Too bad it was after NASCAR was there, lol. Then we brang the grandsons home with us and kept them until Sunday night. We had the reception on Saturday nigh. I did nothing yesterday but rest. Now it's time to get with the program! I hope you had a GR88 time at Bristol!
