Trying to get under 150

I was considered overweight at 158 when I was 19. I didn't really think I was overweight since at 5'7" I was proportionate. But as time went by I seemed to gain a few pounds every year eventually ballooning to my peak of 188 when I was 25. By 26 I realized I was in the 'obese' category for BMI and HAD to make changes. I was considered overweight at 158 when I was 19. I didn't really think I was overweight since at 5'7" I was proportionate. But as time went by I seemed to gain a few pounds every year eventually ballooning to my peak of 188 when I was 25. By 26 I realized I was in the 'obese' category for BMI and HAD to make changes. I decided to cut down on drinking and going to the bar with friends and over the course of a year, slowly dropped 14lbs. I remained around 174 for about a year before the idea of 'I have GOT to lose more weight' finally struck me again. At 28 I put my mind and body into gear and slowly lost another 8lbs.
When I met my husband-to-be, Chris, I was 166 in December 2006. During the first year we were together we both got serious and decided to start eating better and be healthier. I lost 14lbs by the end of summer 2007 and hit 152. Unfortunately I got a little too comfortable and slowly gained back 8 lbs of my weight loss by Christmas 2008. I was mad at myself to be hovering around the 160 mark again after working so hard to get to the low 150's that I hadn't seen since before age 19.
And here we are 2009. Chris proposed on Valentine's Day and our wedding is the end of October. So of course this sparked a new reason to lose weight - to look awesome in my wedding dress! As of early June, I have lost 9lbs and down to 151 which is my lowest since being a teen. I am trying to reach the goal of 142 by the end of summer, but my ultimate goal is to be 135 by September 26th which is my final dress fitting.

UPDATE - As of June 25th I am officially under 150 at 148.8! I don't think I've been close to this weight since I was 17 when I weighed about 140-144, so I am super excited! On my way to the gym right now!

OK another update! As of July 20th I'm so shocked to be at 146.8! I see that my goal of 142 might actually be within reach with 4.8 lbs to go. Not sure I'll make my deadline of 142 within 5 weeks since that's about 1lb per week and I'm averaging just .5lb per week but we'll see what happens! I'm staying positive! = )
