I am a yo-yo dieter who hasn't quite figured out how to motivate myself to exercise regularly. But I am trying. I was a size 1 in high school and have gained 13 sizes since then. I'm only 26. I want to get healthy and feel gorgeous again

About a year ago I met the man of my dreams. I have never been happier, but I know my body image is keeping me from the 100% happiness I know I deserve. We are planning on getting married some day, and I would really like to have the body I have been dreaming of before that happens. I want to look back 40 years from now and think I looked like a princess.

Those are just a few of the reasons I came up with the title for this page. I have done spark people before, but lost motivation. This time, I'm going to do my best keeping to my goals. I know I can do this and get healthy.

I have severe anxiety disorder that kept me bedridden for a year. Since then I have improved drastically, but during times of stress it comes back. I want to lower my stress, and being healthy and loving myself helps with that. Also meeting small goals helps give me confidence. Also, I've observed, I feel better physically and as a result psychologically when I am active.

I'm going to do it this time. I'm going to lose the weight, get healthy, and stay that way. The time of inactivity and laziness is done. No more McDonalds abreakfast sandwiches for me. This time, I'm going to make a better me.

In addition, I have recently started the 21 Day Fix program. I started it once before, but due to some unfortunate personal matters I fell off the wagon. The first time I lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks! My best friend has already lost 50 pounds on the program. I hope to meet her goals. If she can do it, so can I!

    Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

    1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

    2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

    The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!
