I am trying to keep my calories at 1,100 - 1,200 to control my sugar levels. At this time I am eliminating most Carbs/keeping them at a mimium. I am using Atkins drinks again - great at snack time. Looking to join a gym come March when they run their special!!!

Rhoda, I didn't know if you heard about the head-on collision accident that I was in. I posted an updated blog about my current injuries. I'm so proud of you for making daily healthy choices and permanent lifestyle changes, resulting in fulfilling positive results! I wish I could afford to save all the little kitties I see around the neighborhood having to fiend for their own. The hot summers and the cold winters make my heart hurt thinking about all the kitties out there in the open. When I win the million dollar lottery, I am going to build a 30x30 cat house, airconditioned and heated with an individual bed and litter box for each cat. LOL
Back in July, we found a baby out back with very bad upper respitory infection and eye infection so bad the eyes were matted shut. Weighed 1 pound. Think he must have been 8-10 weeks old. Took him immediately to the vet and started the care for him. Isolated him in a bathtub while we doctored him. We have 4 indoor cats and DH said we could not bring another inside. Didn't want to put him back outside (he has an undeveloped crooked eye) and not to the shelter afraid they would consider him unadoptabel. Long story short, a woman in CO read about him and called to say they would take him. He went north on 29 Sept leaving me in tears. I get regular pictures of him, his loving mother and I are great friends and he is now weighin 8.9+ pounds. Lucky little boy, our Garfield. He is the little yellow in the pics on my page.
