Looking forward to 2014

Well, I am still working 0n those changes I need to make to succeed at losing this ex-weight. Good thing I'm not a quitter! One day at a time, one meal at a time, I know I can do this. Sparks has been a great tool, now just to consistently use it and it will all work out. I've met some great friends on here and look forward to the new year.

My Goals:
My goals are to stay in my calorie range each day.

For the winter months, my goal will be to do 30-minutes cardio or strength daily, weights on M, W, F, and toning work T, TH, S. I will change this as the weather warms up outside.

My Program:
My calorie range is 1200-1550. I'm working on adding more veggies to the menu, fruits aren't hard to add.

Personal Information:
I'm a 14-year widow from North Dakota. I have two daughters, ages 39 and 27, and one 12-year-old grandson. I was an at-home medical transcriptionist for 21+ years and have been retired for the past 2 years. Some favorite crafts have been quilting and wood craft painting, but they seem to have been taken over by dancing since I've become single....and the dancing is a good aerobic workout besides! I'm really enjoying life these days and am so thankful for the good health I have and am now trying to make it better by lightening the load! Hopefully I'll be dancing for lots of years yet. I have a significant other who is also retired and we've been doing a lot of traveling the last couple of years.

Other Information:
I have a hard time sticking with things long-term including things that make me feel better, i.e., exercise and losing weight. So I am going to take the approach of making it through this one single day, each day, to reach my goals. And with God's help, and all you wonderful Sparkers, I will be successful!!

Thanks for the support and comment on my blog. I really do want to get to my goal, but more importantly, I want to remain there. PLEASE fell free to kick me when you think I need it and don't let me wander too far. That's usually a sign I have taken an unhealthy detour.

Thank you for your goodie, and the support you send me. I am sure I am eating. Sometimes I do have to force myself to have more. I eat so many more veggies than I used to. Previously I used to eat more fruit, but it is generally higher in sugar (natural) and calories. My uncle, who is a retired physician, told me I could eat around 1100 calories a day. I try not to advertise it too much because it is below what SP recommends, but he knows all about my health and I trust him. You are also doing phenomenally! Let's finish this round strong as we enter the homestretch.
