Better Days Are Ahead

I am now 56 years old. Still trying to get rid of the middle age spread. I recently lost 10 lbs. and gained a pound a half back. I would like to drop another 10 lbs. I don't need to be skinny, just thin enough that my once tight clothes are comfortable. I have 4 children, all adopted between the ages of 15 thru 23. I also work full time for a local school district. I try to get to zumba as often as I can. I enjoy it. I also enjoy reading and anything adoption related.

Did you know that "mon" in Monday is French for mine? In case you weren't aware, that makes Monday, "My Day". That sure makes the start of this week very special. So have a Marvelous Monday....make it a great "My" day.

St. Valentine was jailed for continuing to secretly marry young lovers, defying Romans rules in the third century that insisted single men made better soldiers. For this he was sentenced to death and later named for the holiday celebrating lovers. But his act of love was his act of service to the soldiers.

February 14th is the day of love, and there's nothing more important all year. So, use it to give love, show gratitude and appreciation to all those people who've touched your life this year -- whether it's giving them a gift, a hug or a simple call. Bring some you made especially for your perpetually single best friend, call your grandparent you've been meaning to talk to, make some homemade soup or cookies for that person who did you that big favor this year. Honestly, it will make you feel incredible! And that's really what the day is about: spreading love, being of service, expressing your positive emotions and feeling good. Valentine's Day is about showing love. So take the commercialism out and put the true meaning into the day,

Good morning!
I'm glad to see that you're enjoying the treadmill, in the past I've used them myself. I liked doing intervals on inclines with them, it felt like I could simulate our mountain hikes without thinking about it.
I'm living in the middle of NYS, right in a lake effect snow corridor, so it's not unusual for us to have to be plowed out for Mothers' Day! The lake effect bands can be pretty narrow, so where they might get an inch of snow three miles north of us, we're getting a foot!
My daughter #2 lives in Pittsburgh, I sometimes think about moving down there myself, it's so fun to visit. And the weather seems good, consistently at least 10 degrees warmer than us!
