Better Days Are Ahead

I am now 56 years old. Still trying to get rid of the middle age spread. I recently lost 10 lbs. and gained a pound a half back. I would like to drop another 10 lbs. I don't need to be skinny, just thin enough that my once tight clothes are comfortable. I have 4 children, all adopted between the ages of 15 thru 23. I also work full time for a local school district. I try to get to zumba as often as I can. I enjoy it. I also enjoy reading and anything adoption related.

"The purpose of life is to live a life of purpose." - Richard Leider

Each one of us is born with a unique life purpose. We are all here for a reason, and we are all here to serve each other.

Happy St. Patrick's Day my dear Spark Friend emoticon

May The Road
Rise Up To Meet You

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

(traditional Gaelic blessing)

Hey Cheryle! Hope by now your sinus infection has cleared up and so has this snow! We got sooo much this week (as I am sure you did too). The sun is shining today and I am hoping to get some errands done. I see that you want to move somewhere warm. My husband wants to move to Arizona. Too far for me. I love the change of seasons here but this snow is getting old. I want to bake all the time and of course that means I eat all the time:( I need Spring!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Have a good weekend!

Read a comment of your's that you'd love to move someplace where it does not get so cold. California from the San Juaquin Valley area of Sacramento South through Los Angeles to Orange County as well as along the coast from Santa Barbara to San Diego is the area to be. Of course the cost of housing in most areas is prohibitive.

The exception is Kern County (Bakersfield). The drawback: a couple 110 degree days most summers, and occasionally as hot as 115, with 95 plus from mid-May to mid-October.

Our trees began to flower at the end of January, the daffodils have been in bloom for two weeks, and agriculture is in full swing.
