Hi Cheryl. Thanks for the friend add. I'm sure not going to give up. This app will be a huge part of that not happening. With friends like you encouraging me!! Let's succeed at this journey TOGETHER!

I saw your blog on jumping rope and also appreciate your comments on my Spark page. I used to jump rope as a kid. I picked up a rope a couple years ago and couldn't get the coordination to save my life. If you can do it, go for it! If you have a Fitbit or other type of monitor the rope jumping should show up on your steps or something. Also you can log it on your Spark Exercise. You are certainly to be admired for working with the kids; that can be a tough job. I did get back on my bike again; it's something I just need to do. Thanks again for stopping by. Carol

    Hi Cheryle!
It is cold here too(but I am loving it). I did join WW and just the fact I have to pay every time I go is enough to make me lose weight. I did their new program for about 2 days;)---too I am back to calorie counting. I go to the weekly meetings and they help. All kinds of healthy information(most we already know) but every once in awhile a reminder of something that used to work for me pops up again and I get back to doing it(like eating more protein). Are you sure you are eating enough? I eat about 1400-1500 calories a day to lose. Also,I was making fruit smoothies(just fruit and almond milk),BUT eating the fruit and drinking the almond milk is a lot less fattening(according to WW) then drinking it as a smoothie. Same calories but metabolized differently??? I do lose 1-2 pounds a week when I track every calorie. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Thanks for the packed lunch! I get tired of bringing it too. Pretzel and yogurt sounds like a strange school lunch. I do love soft pretzels- but the big ones. Sorry to hear that you have to change positions again. But like you said, more walking around equals more weight loss emoticon . Glad your hip feels better too. I joined WW A-G-A-I-N- l know I sound like a broken record but it seems to be the ONLY thing that works for me. It has gotten much cooler here too and I emoticon this weather. Have a great day!

I noticed your comment about all your adopted children. I just wanted to give you three cheers for that effort. As an adopted child I appreciate special parents such as you.

As for your hip and other issues, I just wondered if you have tried acupuncture. I got tremendous relief for mine with that process several years ago. In any case, good luck.
