I have run a few 5K races in 2012 but I would like to become more serious about Cross-Training. My husband and I joined a gym in our town in January and I have really picked up on Spinning. I originally joined the gym to help me stay on track with Cardio training during the freezing Winter, but I will probably keep my membership throughout the year because I enjoy other Cardio tasks now. My wish is that, by Spinning and strength training, I will become a better and faster runner, which will help me reach my goal of finishing a 5K in less than 30 minutes. My mom is a huge inspiration for me. She has joined a Running Club where she lives and has run in MANY 5Ks and even a few 10Ks. Her motivation and strength helped me realize I need to get active.

My Goals:
Run a 5K in less than 30 minutes. Eat within my target calorie and fat range 6 days per week. Lose 15 pounds. Drink at least 8 cups of water per day.
My Program:
I go to a 24-hour gym 5-6 days per week. I have been focusing on riding a spin bike for 30-60 minutes each time and spending 30-45 minutes using dumbbells and crunches for upper body and core strengthening.
