Welcome. I joined SP in the middle of a journey. I've struggled with weight issues my whole life. I've been in the process of losing weight since last year. I start SP around 270, but my heaviest was 330 when I graduated from college in 2004. That being said, great! I stayed between 290-300 the past few years, then last year, a few months after my Dad had a heart attack (who is overweight, but not nearly as obese as me) at age 49, my motivation button was pushed. I also turned 27, and I told myself I would get my ass in gear at 27, so I am. I dropped from about 295 to 270 (healthfully), and maintained that over the holidays (Yipee!), but in March, I started to continue my journey, and found SP! Yippee!!! So, here I am to get motivated, get happy, and get healthy. Luckily, I've never found eating healthy hard, and even working out. I enjoy eating fruits and veg and being active. The problem is enjoying the not so good stuff in moderation. Anyway, I'm happy to be here, and meet others on the same journey. My goal is to reach 140 over the next 2 years, but I'm setting mini-goals along the way.

Here are some milestones I have planned.

My Goals:
Short-Term

* To pack my lunch every day with healthy food

Medium-Term

* To start jogging
* To continue living a healthy lifestyle
* To reach an even lower BMI (Obese Class 1) Category
* To do some hiking in the summertime

Long-Term

* To live a long and healthy life
* To lose 130 pounds to reach my goal weight
* To feel comfortable in my own skin, so I can fully embrace life, through other people, life experiences, travel, and career


My Program:
* Doing at least little cardio 6 days a week
* Drinking at least 8 cups of water a day
* Sleeping at least 8 hours a night
* Eating lovely local fruits and vegetables (come on Summer)
* Doing Strength Training 3 times a week
