My Goals:
My goal is to be happy, healthy, and physically fit.


My Program:
I am on a low glycemic, alkaline forming diet. I have found if I eat a diet with a 60/40 balance between alkaline and acid-forming foods, my chronic pain is drastically reduced.
I have also learned if I eat whole foods, and eat 3 moderate meals and 3 snacks a day (whether I am hungry or not), I don't have as many food cravings. I often find myself with calories to spare at the end of the day. I have my spark nutritional setting set to the diabetic plan because I like how it divides up the calories for each meal and snack.
Also, I am big on prepackaging my food into individual servings. I like to put all my food in baggies and Tupperware containers and pile it into one big pile. I find this has a positive psychological effect on me.
I try to walk between 12 and 21 miles a week, do 60 minutes of strength training a week, and do my stretches every day.

My name is Cherise. I am 32 years old and live in the Redwoods of Northern California. My perpetual sidekick and exercise buddy is Moppet, a 3-year-old Shih Tzu mix. I have a wonderful husband who spoils us both rotten! I am currently a student at the local college and am studying to become an administrative assistant.

    Hello JDB50177! Late night snacking is definitely hard to overcome. It is a constant battle! I have learned the best thing for me to do when I have an uncontrollable food craving and absolutely must eat something is to find something healthy to eat. My personal favorite is frozen strawberries. Celery is another good option. It is in fact a negative calorie food; it takes more calories to digest than it contains! Surprisingly, exercise helps with food cravings too.

    I took a peak at your sparkpage and I LOVE your Dr. Seuss quote! Suites me to a tee!
