Trying to get fit and healthy!

I, of course would love to lose weight. However, my main goal is to get healthy and in shape. I would like to increase my energy level and decrease the number of migraines that I get. I beleive that I can reach all of these goals by eating healthy and exercising. I just need some support!!! :D

My Goals:
I want to be fit and healthy. I would love to be able to run three miles. I want to be more energetic and upbeat. I want to be able to go swimming and not be completely embarrassed! :P

My Program:
I am exercising 5 times a week (treadmill and yoga). I also kind of drastically changed my eating habits. I try to buy as much organic food as possible. I have been eating a ton of fruit. I also gave up white bread and pasta. But the hardest is...I gave up milk!!! I have noticed, however, that I haven't had a migraine since I started eating differently! :D

Personal Information:
I grew up and live in western PA (dont hold it against me!! I'm not TOO much of a hillbilly!! lol :)

Other Information:

Hiya! I just wanted to say thanks for responding to my post, and good luck with your goals. I'm from SW PA also - Johnstown. Is that a miniature pinscher in your picutre, or a full-sized Doberman?

Isn't SparkPeople just fantastic!! You are doing great!!! Just keep it up and know that eating right and exercising is just a healthy way that YOU live and you don't "diet", since that is for people who aren't committed to a LIFE LONG HEALTHY PATH like you. People go ON diets, and they go OFF of them, but this is about HEALTH. Do research migraines on the Internet, because I read that in a new research study that they found some people have a tiny whole in their blood vessel that can let blood cells into the spinal fluid and these then cause terrible headaches.
