I've been at this point a handful of times... at the peak weight of my life and enthusiastic about making a change. This is not news to anyone.

What IS different is this year I've discovered a lot about what's fueling my desire to consume food endlessly. Over the last ten years, the perpetual weight gain/loss cycle used to be a mystery to me, and for some reason I took comfort in its familiarity. It was a pattern that always emerged, whether I was conscious of it or not. Now I feel like I've seen the man behind the curtain, and I'm not impressed that he's been keeping me from many things I want to experience.

Here's to punching that guy in the face, because I know how he works, I know what he wants, and our wants and needs no longer overlap. I'm an adult who makes adult decisions to accomplish adult goals, so it stops today.

My Goals:
Hitting the 190's again is my initial weight goal. My life/participation goals include: playing tennis with my boyfriend without feeling like I'm going to keel over, being confident when working with clients, fitting into a dress that's a single-digit size.
