A Healthy New Me.
I've been on a weight loss journey for about a year and a half. I've lost 26.25 lbs to date. :) I am starting to feel better in my clothes, & I even like shopping for clothes now. My goal is to get down to 150 lbs. That is 27.75 away. I know I can do it. "If it is to be, it is up to me." I hope to achieve this goal by the end of the year, or by next Spring. :)

My Goals:
My goal is to reduce my overall weight. I want to ease the pain I have with arthritis & try to avert having to have hip surgery.
My Program:
I am trying to eat healthier. I am a lacto/ovo vegetarian leaning towards becoming vegan. When I exercise I am conscientiously aware of my body movement and limitations. I avoid jarring my body, by walking instead of jogging, and doing Zumba at a very restrained level. This for my own physical preservation; resistance of further injury to my hips. I love to dance. And it is a good feeling to know I can still boogie by altering the dance moves. :)
Other Information:
My favorite quote- "If it is to be, it is up to me." If I make bad choices...the choice was mine. I cannot blame anyone or even my hip for the weight I've gained over the years. I did it to myself. I want to give and receive positive support on Sparkpeople. :)
