Hello Everyone! I have been with Spark people for almost 6 months and I feel great! I have lost over 60 pounds. I never thought I would be able to do this. I figured I would just stay heavy the rest of my life. I have had to make major changes in my eating and exercising, like actually start exercising! I now use exercise when I am stressed or upset in place of the ice cream I would have eaten 6 months ago. I can not thanks SP enough for creating this site for people like me. I rely on my Spark ...

My Goals:
Short term goal started 11/12/2012 I would like to be 153 by x-mas.

I like to be 148 by 1/12/2013.

My Program:
I am using my treadmill 40-60 min. a day,5x a week, taking the stairs when I can, eating better.

I just bought a kick boxing bag and love it! My knuckles are still getting used to it, even with gloves.

Personal Information:
I live in Maine. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for many moons and I have two daughters. Brittany 18 and Gabrielle 14.

Hi there. Welcome back! I am doing fine. I blew off the summer, and enjoyed myself, but back down to 223.... 51 more to go to GW.

I just changed my diet to slow myself down. I was losing 5-7 lbs a week, and then cheating because I was hungry, so I just upped my menu 1000 calories. I also moved up to 70% fat, and 12 servings of vegetables a day, which slightly increased my fiber to 15. Still staying below 40 net carbs, and struggling to eat 2500 calories, but I feel full, and still losing .. 2.4 lbs in last 8 days. Slower, and steadier.

Hope everything is going well for you, and since you maintained, you are still healthy. For me the holidays aren't a huge problem. I love Thanksgiving because all the food is allowed on low carb..lol. I can just eat 2 lbs of turkey.. no pumpkin pie though.. emoticon

The rest are days when pizzerias are closed, so I have to cook my own meals anyways. Halloween was the worst. I had a few candy bars. I have no family except my brother, so no big meals to avoid. Mostly I just watch football.

Hope the holidays aren't too hard on you. Be careful, and enjoy time with relatives. Glad to hear from you.

Two days in a row is a streak.. now ya gotta do it ..lol.

I used to go to work at 6 a.m., but now waking at 8 is good enough. I have switched to going to bed at 2 a.m., and getting 6 hours of sleep, sometimes I get a nap in the afternoon. My eyes might bleed, if I woke up at 5:30

Glad you are back, and active.

That's pretty cool to be able to say " Just did an hour run ".. sometimes , I have to stop , and realize I just walked 90 minutes.. for fun, and it was refreshing. After that walk yesterday, I decided to walk to the store which is 3/4 of a mile away. I started jogging, and ran the whole way there in 8 minutes. Got my items, and walked home. I started to realize with walking distance is 5 miles , not 500 feet, I can walk to the library, the store, even to the park.

I may be slow, but 3/4 of a mile is huge for me. I'll work up to an hour run by 2019... maybe 2020..lol. You have to be in the top 5% of America when it comes to fitness. Not much competition these days, but I have to congratulate you on hard work, and getting done what so many others have failed to do.. stay healthy.

My A-fib has limited my walking, and I am sleeping a lot during the day, and not at all during the night. I am tired a lot. Hope this passes soon.

My doc visit went well. Good blood sugar, bp, etc. My bloodwork is all getting done in 3 months. Uric acid, blood panels, cholesterol. All my numbers got better 3 months ago, she said if I just keep losing, they will stay good, and I will feel better. The only bad thing is, I get a new doc next visit. This one is graduating after 3 years. The years went quickly. Now I have to break in a new doctor. Number 8.

Hope all is well with you, I try to check in once a day, but how long depends on how good I feel. I felt great on Friday, but the last few days have sucked a bit. It's better than being short of breath from fluid on the lungs, but heart fluttering makes me nervous, even if it is only 1-2 times an hour.

My A-fib is bothering me some. I am down to 223, but the last few days have been a bother. I am exhausted, and simply washing the dishes leaves me with a pounding heart. I just have to wait it out. Doc visit on Tuesday. Other than that not much happening.
