Hi, I am Subha, I am from India, a 25 year old s/w engineer. Married for 2.5 years and mother of an angel baby.I have hypothyroid,and after my miscarriage in 2008 I gained almost 15kgs.So,now its time to shade it down!
Luckily I found Spark People,but I lose weights very slowly,still I am optimistic.I do Surya Pranam,Yoga and free hands mainly in morning.I started doing Ramdev's Pranayams (kapalbhati) as well.Also trying to hit office gym whenever possible.Wish me best of luck!

Thank you SO MUCH for the words of encouragement regarding my status this past week! It really was helpful! (I actually got on the treadmill when I did not feel like it because I thought of you!) As a result of the encouragement I was able to lose three quarters of a pound this week, which brought me to a 95 pounds weight loss!

I will be sending you an email with my treadmill workout. It has made a significant difference for me and is quite challenging. I also do a weight machine and free weights work out and I will give you the information that I can on that as well.

Just the treadmill alone will likely prove to be helpful to you.

Today there has been no rain. Just LOTS of humidity and heat!

I do not have to work every other Friday so I was doing my "buff and polish" day...went for a massage and a hair cut; then met my husband for lunch; and then ran a few errands.

Though I did start my day with a 2.5 mile walk around the neighborhood which got in my daily exercise AND warmed up my muscles for the massage. The lady who does my massage is really amazed at my weight loss and she loves seeing me every six weeks as the changes are much more obvious to her since we do not see one another more frequently. REALLY nice thing was when she said to me that it was VERY obvious I am working out as my muscles are in much better shape. Helps make all that sweating a bit more bearable!

This weekend we will be staying home...HOORAY! Last week we were up at the property by my parents where we will one day build the "forever" house, but where we currently store our RV. My husband, father, nephew and I laid out and poured two 8 foot by 3 foot "pads" upon which we will park our RV. This way we know it will be level when we park it after a trip. I DEFINITELY got a work out from that project! I picked up and carried 70 bags that each weighed 50 pounds! Good cardio and strength training work out! THANKFULLY we were able to work in the shade as the area we park the RV is surrounded by mature oak trees and the path of the sun through the day is not directly overhead.

This week I started a new exercise routine. I found it in the Self magazine. I includes a combination of cardio and strength training with intervals as part of the cardio which is SUPPOSED to help burn more fat more effectively. We will see! I KNOW I am pushing against my limits with the cardio!

You may have a BMI of 28.7 NOW, but you are more than a quarter of the way to your goal and your BMI will continue to go down with your loss of weight! Be sure that you keep your awareness not only of what you need to improve but the improvements you have and are continuing to make!
