My name is Cheryl, soon to be 51 and like everyone else on SP wanting a lifestyle change that will result in a Healthier you. I recently learned I was a Diabetic-type 2 about the same time I was introduced to this site from my son who loss 7 lbs in 2 wks by monitoring his diet on-line. I have spondrolosis in my lower back which causes pain and the excess weight doesn't help. My day job is offering a Biggest Loser contest to start on Sept 23rd. I'm in even though it cost $10.00 but, if I'm one of the top 3 winners I win this back & more. I need encouragement; incentives; constant self talk to take the weight off. It has been hard these last two weeks getting accustomed to Diabetes and managing Carbs! Still not there-what do they 7 weeks to establish new habits lets give it 12 weeks In my 12 week journey - I hope to take off the weight and develop a lifestyle c.hange of new habits to include daily exercise and wise food choices. Please join me in my journey to a healthier today & tomorrow!

My Program:
1. Stay true to SP-follow the daily regimen and tracking
2. walk daily
3. work out 2-3 x in the gym weekly
4. step up my activity level in my business and make the daily calls

Personal Information:
I'm passionate about my business and love to share with people how to destress & free resources.
Love to spend time traveling and with the family especially my kids - that aren't kids but young adults.

Other Information:
Love to read, favorite author is Karen Kingsbury-Christian fiction writer. Cooking relaxes me and like to just throw something together-use cookbooks for inspirations. Wish I could afford to see more live Theatre productions. Favorite Broadway Show- Wicked.

    Good luck with the Biggest Loser Competition. My work place started last Tuesday. Our Wellness Committee is running the program and it costs nothing. Our office has done this before for money and we had some that were doing it so unhealthy just to win the money, So the Wellness Committee decided to split people into random teams and the only prize is good health and bragging rights. I lost 5 lbs this week. I have been exercising and watching my calories. There have been days when I had to eat more because I did not make my calories. Those days are fun. I have started to try and pick fruits and other healthy items instead of just junk food to raise my calories. I hope you do great. But please do it healthy.
