Thanks Dawn for your comment about my wisdom tooth pulling. It is much better now, funny feeling that hole back there though! And I do still have to be careful about chewing on the other side and not eating things with seeds (no raspberries, tomatoes, etc) or small things that can get caught in there, like rice or corn. Which is REALLY hard as it's sweet corn season here! AHHHHHH! LOL! Hope you're having a great week!

Yes, our daughters 10k was in Colorado, Golden to be exact! We drove over from the West Slope to surprise her and cheer her on, we stayed with our son in Denver and he came with us to the race. It was so much fun seeing the look on her face when she saw us yelling and waving for her! We took everyone (her husband was there too) out to brunch after the race, just a good time all around. Where in Colo is your daughter moving to?

Hi Dawn, we do have our own snowshoes. We've been going for four or five years and found four pair at yard sales or from newspaper ads. I bought my pair online at a spring sale. The nice thing about snowshoes is people buy them thinking they'll really like it, go once or twice then they gather dust, so you can pick them up really reasonable and hardly used. We have extra pairs for when the kids come home, they don't have to rent, we can just go. You do wear your own snow boots, so you can pick the insulation level you need to keep your feet warm. I'm not sure how that works with cross country skis, as I've never gone, always thought it looked like fun though!

Hey Dawn, Just wanted to stop by and thank you for stopping by my blog and offering your opinion about changing my "ticker". I took your advice to heart and changed it to reflect my entire weight loss not just what I'd lost with Spark. Thanks for the encouragement!

Thanks for checking in on me. I hit a shin splint road block late this summer and lost my motivation. I went walking this past weekend - and it looks like the next will be nice too. Now I just need to find week-DAY activities. emoticon
