BREAKOFDAWN

I am 53, happily married (30 years and counting), 3 children: one married, two in college. Currently an empty nester for the first time in 27 years. I homeschooled our 3 children so this is a big adjustment for me. I have not struggled with weight until hitting the menopause stage. Ideally my goal is to lose 15 pounds. I also want to learn how to do a pull up before Christmas.

Hi Dawn~
Thanks for asking your friend about Josh's school situation! Things seem better now. He said she is being a lot nicer to him and he hasn't mentioned any more weird comments from her. Conferences were a bit awkward. I was nervous about it, but I think she was more nervous. My husband said her hands were shaking. It was a super fast conference, she basically said that Josh was doing well (all A's). We were literally in and out within 2 minutes! I'm glad that it has resolved, I hate conflict emoticon

Thanks for the comments on my second Alaska blog and your encouragement to write another. It was a wonderful trip and I'd be happy to have you drop in for coffee or tea and show all the photos to you! lol! The commute might be tough though! If you get a chance, I highly recommend a trip to Denali and if your nephew is still flying helicopters, maybe he could give you a smoother ride than we had on the plane! Thanks again, have a great week!

Thanks for stopping by my blog "Alaska...". I may just have to take you up on the idea of posting another blog as I do have A LOT of photos and had a hard time deciding which ones to use. And since you told me I should....... lol! By the way, I am trying your suggestion about the flax and night sweats and it seems to be helping! Hope you have a blessed weekend!

Thanks for the welcome back! When I get caught up and rested, (the only flights out of Anchorage are at midnight and after-we were up 36 hours straight! whew!), I am planning on posting a blog about the trip. I just have to figure out what to leave out! We didn't get to see all of Mt. Mckinley but did see 2/3rds of it and LOTS of Grizzly bear, moose, Dall sheep, marine wildlife, etc. etc. It was AWESOME! Thanks again, hope your last two weeks have been good!

How is your week going?

Happy Wednesday! It does look like we have some things in common! How are you doing with your empty nest? Do you have anyone home for the summer? Mine are working in their college towns this summer. It's pretty quiet! I am kinda liking my empty nest! It is different! It's a new season in life for sure!

Sheri
