I'm struggling with managing my emotions. I know that it strongly contributes to my weight gain. Another hurdle is that I frequently have problems with insomnia. The late night snacking trips me up every time. But I'm determined, by the grace of God, to overcome this. That's why I'm sticking with Sparkpeople. The community and staff keeps me focused.

My Goals:
My short term goal is to lose at least 2 pounds a week. My long term goal is to lose 70 pounds no later than the beginning of the summer.

My Program:
I'm eating more veggies and fruits.

I'm drinking an 8 oz glass of water every other hour.

Personal Information:
My name is Susan. I'm 55 years old. I'm originally from New York. Lived in Manhattan, Bronx, and Brooklyn. Now I'm in Atlanta, Georgia. Been here for 29 years! Love it!



I visited New York recently and it changed. The good part is it's less crime and very clean. And Times Square is off the chain. I just don't like so many people and living in a small apartment. I felt claustrophobic. I've gotten use to having a house in Atlanta and having space. Plus there are options as far as if I want to be around crowds and enjoy what all Atlanta offers I can. And if I need a serene atmosphere, I go back to the airy suburbs.

Other Information:
I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me.
