Updated goals: This year 2016, is going to be a great year!!! I have some serious goals to attain, I'm heading towards a big birthday this year and PLAN on accomplishing my weight goal. I realize I must make a lifestyle change with diet and exercise. I may start slow, but will be in full swing by the end of January.

I have a FitBit One and these were my 2015 totals, all of which I plan on breaking!!!

Steps: 3,890,098
Miles: 1,6322.22
Floors: 914
Calories: 832,729

My daily step goal is 11,000 per day, except maybe for Wednesday. I sail every Wednesday and it's difficult to get the extra exercise in.

I KNOW I can do this!!!

We have a near-term goal for August and then the next goal set for September.

I want to lose 30 lbs, and I'm not putting a final date down this time. I have several interim goals.

We will do it!!!!

My Program:
My husband & I are watching our carb intake, trying to stay below 40 grams a day. We started at 20 grams and have slowing worked our way up to 40. On occasion, we will drop down to help with plateauing.

We plan on an occasional "cheat day" to reward us when we've accomplished a goal.

My exercise goal is to burn 400 + calories a day, and to get in at least 30 minutes a day of exercise with one day of rest a week.

I know I can do this and by September of next year (a BIG birthday), I want to be at my goals.

    A little about me: My name is Hilary, and I live near the beach in the greater Los Angeles. I have two kids, ages 5 and 3. I work for myself, mostly from home, and spend a lot of time with the kids (of course). My goal for this challenge is to lose 5% of my weight. I'm also working towards becoming a runner -- only something I've wanted to do for the past few years, but I've been derailed recently due to knee issues. I just got cleared to jog intervals again after an ACL reconstruction last December.

    I've been on Spark for 8 years or so, but recently recommitted and have had some results so far with the Spring 5% weight loss challenge (Awesome A's team). Looking forward to the BLC as well! Nice to meet you!

    I live in NC near the SC boarder in the western part of the state near the mountains. It's a rural area and quite the change from Milwaukee WI where I've lived most of my life, but absolutely love it!!

    emoticon emoticon My favorite Summer activities are: Walking, playing catch, fishing, and mostly sitting on my porch with ice tea or coffee watching the scenery or reading. Although we can't go to Family Camp anymore, my favorite was to go to Family Camp for a week in WI.

    emoticon My goals this challenge is to get to ONEderland and to complete 2 kettlebell swing challenges.
