Oh my... straight from a snow spring, to a hot humid summer with no air conditioning in the office!

Originally, I came to SparkPeople because...
Well... I already use fitday.com, and a friend that I mud with on IceWind MUD suggested that I try sparkpeople. So... here I am. Trying to lower my cholesterol, tone up, and feel energized.

Fitness Minutes: 155

My Goals:
Lowering my cholesterol will help reduce my risk of heart disease later in life. I'm also epileptic and fighting insulin resistance. Since I have a loving family, I have a lot of motivation to keep everything under control.


My Program:
Right now I am trying to do cardio at least 5 times a week for at least 60 minutes per day, and strength training (using the exercises suggested here!) at least 3 times per week. I always forget to log all my cardio here, but I will try and do better in the future.

I live in central Pennsylvania, where we have some of the best Arts Festivals in the Northeast!

I work for a giant huge beast of a university in the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics, but my degrees are actually in Animal Sciences (B.S. and M.S.). I began pursuing a PhD in Physiology but stopped due to complications from having epilepsy.
