You have that right! I am trying to lose 5 lbs under goal, which means I have to lose 9 lbs over the next 2 months. Doable. If I can shed most of the weight by the time the Chicago M. Lottery is revealed and I am in, then for sure I am registering! Thanks for the comments and likes.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yes, training in the winter is a challenge. At least, it's a challenge the first time. I've trained through 2 hard winters, and the long range forecast is for a milder winter this time; so far I've only run on 2 days that resembled winter weather. One of them was today. I'm not worried about making it through this winter.

A spring marathon? Depending on when in the spring, and how long your program is, you should either already be starting to train, or close to the date to start your program. Not much time left to make up your mind!

Which reminds me of a picture that got posted to a local running group's FB page. It showed a couple of guys running down a plowed road with snow piled high on either side. The caption:

"Tell me again why we signed up for a spring marathon."
"We were drunk."
"Oh, yeah."

Thanks for sharing your ideas on my blog about time management! That's a great idea to commit to an exercise streak over the holidays. I'm thinking I'll try one or two mornings next week and go from there!
