My main goal is to be happy, healthy, strong and as alive as I can be.

My Program:
I don't have a specific program. I think about and watch what I eat. I do lots of different things to get my exercise. Running and hiking are the biggies. I also love biking, camping and kayaking.

9/13 First Half-Marathon,
13 point freakin 1 = 2:29:41 PR

9/12 5k PR = 27:00 (better then I ever thought I could do)

11/11 10k PR = 61:31 (would like to get under 60)

I start my taper after my last LR on Saturday or Sunday. My HM is Sept 7 in Chicago. The training has gone well. I was out of town last week to take my son to college. So I did get a great run, and one hike in. Thought I would end up tapering too soon.

I did my 11 miler today, a few days late. I will skip one training run this week, but work on speed. Like you, I am getting excited.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I expect you would have LOVED the hike I did on Friday. My friend (one of the few in Tucson) asked me to join his regular group on Friday morning. They go out early (5:30) to beat the heat. It was fabulous seeing the sunrise as we hiked straight up. I was sore for the first time in weeks. We do not have hills in the midwest, so I really enjoyed the challenge.

I hope you training is going well! You are so close! WooHoo for you, as training is the hard part. Enjoy the taper (my favorite part). Missed you this summer. I cannot wait to hear about your 18.12. You will be AWESOME!!
