Thanks for posting on my race blog! I was quite intimidated by the big races myself. I still will not enter a RnR race. My DIL does it all the time. She is signed up for the Chocolate 15K. They get hordes of runners.

Running the ChiHM kind of took the mystery out of it, and its all about the organization. Not all big races have good organization. For this race, I purchased the extra VIP pass, which gave me parking for 2 cars across from the starting line, access to VIP tent with porta pots, breakfast and lunch and more beer! We even had our own bag check section, so no line s there! I was pleased as punch. But the parking was key for me, since I was coming from out of town on race morning.

I feel like a !snob! but it was more to relieve anxiety.

Thanks for checking in! I am doing OK. I stopped running this summer and have added about 6 lbs in the aftermath. I really need to recommit.

I notice the 18.12 medals in the background. Was that a specific race that you ran?
