Hello and welcome to my page. I started out here on SP weighing 210 in September 2011. I wanted to lose 60 in a year. Well I lost 20 pounds by the end of 2011 with adding exercising, eating more fruits, vegetables and eating way less fast food. By changing how and what I eat I have gone on to lose over 50 pounds by Aug. 2016.

I am married to a very supportive man who is also losing weight and with his help I think I can do this. I love to cook and he inspires me to make low cal meals.

I challenge myself to make better choices to become stronger healthier and a better person. I find that pushing myself to be healthier every day is practical. I use steaks to motivate myself and count my calories.

I have learned to love exercising. I walk most every day. I like joining exercise challenges and testing myself to be stronger and healthier

I look forward to learning more things every year to be a good role model to others on this journey.

Working through the rough patches of a marriage is the best. The problem is that both have to be willing to do so. If it's only one, it won't work.

emoticon on your binge free day 16!! emoticon emoticon

I know how difficult it can get with people who help at home emoticon Especially when there is a person to care for. We have to re-double our patience, for the person we care for and for the caretaker. And as you said, let lots of things slide. Well, with a male caretaker, sometimes they are pretty good or better than females! Maybe you can give him a try at something and if it's not good, then leave him watching football, but I would give him a try. My dad used to be neater than my mom for everything.

Portion control is excellent. The problem is when I get out of control and end up binging. I also have a York peppermint pattie after lunch. Yum! Trying to keep it at one. Was having 6 daily. So far so good, this would be my 4th good eating day.

Let's get started!!! emoticon I'm really trying to get back to my center weight and stop the trend of slowly going up. This is my 2nd day at working hard on my eating emoticon
I'm happy you both are feeling good. Trying new recipes makes cooking exciting. That grilled fish and salad emoticon Your exercise goal for the week is emoticon You've been in a transition time from not having Ron at home to having and caring form him right at home. emoticon
I'm reading a book from Michael Connelly. WOW! I can barely put it down. I think you recommended his books to me.

I agree, the more help you can get with Ron, the better. Otherwise, we can easily get out of balance. We need our time to keep ourselves emotionally and physically healthy. If you have to interrupt your night sleep, those naps in the afternoon are a must. I'm glad you're ready to adjust and seek for what's necessary for things to work out emoticon What a wonderful attitude! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Sorry to hear about Ron. Hoping for him to recover promptly. Are you having help in taking him to the doctor's appointment? Hope so.
Glad you could go out today, had fun and a great walk. Much needed! The thrift store, the almonds and Starbucks, just like a perfect day for me!

Situation with my youngest son at home is going well. It's a relief. Went to my mom's yesterday and took her out for lunch and a bit of shopping. She was amazed.
We are in our dry season and it rained all day today!! It's expected to rain tomorrow too. I think it's the first time, that I remember, that rains in Jan.
