Hello and welcome to my page. I started out here on SP weighing 210 in September 2011. I wanted to lose 60 in a year. Well I lost 20 pounds by the end of 2011 with adding exercising, eating more fruits, vegetables and eating way less fast food. By changing how and what I eat I have gone on to lose over 50 pounds by Aug. 2016.

I am married to a very supportive man who is also losing weight and with his help I think I can do this. I love to cook and he inspires me to make low cal meals.

I challenge myself to make better choices to become stronger healthier and a better person. I find that pushing myself to be healthier every day is practical. I use steaks to motivate myself and count my calories.

I have learned to love exercising. I walk most every day. I like joining exercise challenges and testing myself to be stronger and healthier

I look forward to learning more things every year to be a good role model to others on this journey.

3/25/16 Positive quote-If you focus on results, you will never see change. If you focus on change you will get results.

Kathryn, those are awesome news from you DH!! How nice it all turns out when people taking care of the patient make a difference. So happy for you and for Ron. The idea of a person coming to help you at home is excellent. I hope, as things start settling down, you are going to make a great come back into the healthy eating wagon. I know emoticon It's been quite an ordeal for you. emoticon

I loved the team. They are most kind and wonderful people, I just don't have the time to commit. Every time I join a team, I feel it as a commitment where I want to be an active part of it. If I cannot fulfill this, I rather quit, which is why I did it. I'm committed with my 5% challengers as a motivational leader, so I need to focus on them.

We will manage to keep in touch! I'm sorry about this specially stressful time you're having.

Slow and steady wins the race!

We blasted like a emoticon at the starting line this week, but emoticon will tell if we can keep motivated and determined throughout the emoticon challenge.

Keep up the good work! We can do it!
