The Time Has Come.

My Story

When I graduated from High School 25 years ago, I was 6'3" and 235 lbs.

Only 7 years later I was up to 310 lbs, then lost about 60 lbs, then gained it all back and then some.

In 2003 I was 392 lbs, my MBD (maximum body density. For a couple of years, I stopped gaining and then finally this past year, I lost 20 lbs.

A friend of min lost over 100 lbs using SparkPeople and I have a new found hope that I will be successful too!

My 2009 Weekly Goals

Here it is. These are the marks I need to hit in order to lose 125 lbs by the end of the year. It works out to about 2.4 lbs a week, which should be fine as I know the first 30 lbs will come off more easily than the rest.

01/1/2009 - 375 (Let's get this party started)
02/1/2009 - 365
03/1/2009 - 354 (Probably need to get new pants and belts)
04/1/2009 - 344
05/1/2009 - 333 (No more airplane seat belt extenders)
06/1/2009 - 323
07/1/2009 - 313 (My Neck will probably no longer be 19")
08/1/2009 - 302
09/1/2009 - 292 (Should be allowed to ride horses again)
10/1/2009 - 281
11/1/2009 - 271 (No longer have to buy out of catalogs)
12/1/2009 - 260
01/1/2010 - 250 YAY !

Hi! Sending you a welcome and a hello! You'll love it here. I really find this site to be motivating and helpful. My advice would be to use all it's resources you can with the time you can allow yourself! I read the articles, post, talk to others when I slip up, blog, you name it. Hey... I don't know if you saw this team, but lots of guys on here seem to like it.. It's called, "Men, You are Not Alone" HEhee.. The ladies are the majority on here, so it's probably good to be able to have somewhere that there's more testosterone.

Welcome to SparkPeople!! There are so many resources here it's easy to lose sight of it all. Just be sure to take it slow and start off with goals you KNOW you can achieve. This is actually more of a goal setting site than it is a weight loss site, LOL!

If you have any questions, I will totally help out with whatever you need! I know you're very computer proficient, but sometimes they hide where to change things like how frequently you're emailed or things like that, plus I've read a lot of the articles, so if I can direct you to something pertinent if you have fitness related ponderings.
