Recovering from Jaw Surgery now!

Update: Just got my jaw operated on so I everything is up in the air at the moment. No weight lifting for a month, no chewing, no lowering my head below my heart (even for sleeping). Figured I'll use this as a fresh start!

I'm kinda extreme about things, and I love that. I love pushing myself. I also love fashion. I love learning and discovering.

I'm kinda extreme about things, and I love that. I love pushing myself. I also love fashion. I love learning and discovering.

My favorite thing I've ever done (other than get married) was running the Austin Marathon in 2007 (~180 lbs). Second favorite was the MS150 I biked in 2009 (~195 lbs). But since then I've focused on other things more educational and now I can barely run a quarter mile and my weight is up to 220 (plus some change).

I also can't fit into cute work outfits, and I don't feel very sexy any more. So yeah, my goal is to lose weight and get in shape to a) wear cute clothes, b) feel good about physical myself, c) run the 2014 Austin Marathon (and the Austin Distance Challenge), and d) have energy to keep up with my busy life.

My Goals:
Get into a physical condition I can be proud of.

My Program:
Tracking nutrition on SP

P90X (from BeachBody)

Training for the MS150. (Completed my first one 7/19/09 and LOVED IT)

Trying my best to "eat clean" meaning no processed foods that mess up the metabolism.

Drinking my water!!! I never get enough.

Taking a multivitamin (One-a-Day for Women) and Fish Oil supplements.

Waking up at 6AM every day to work and to allow time for breakfast to get me home in time for a good workout after work. Also to keep my body on a regular schedule.

Personal Information:
I'm a full-time petroleum engineer and wife, would love to be a writer or have some other work-at-home job, and I love to learn. For me, sometimes learning how to do someting is better than doing it.

I'm cheering you on!!! How did Week 3 workout for you? Tomorrow is weigh in, i hope i lost because last week the scale went in the wrong direction. Let me know how its going for you. I missed a few workouts last week due to some shoulder problems but i think i made up for it today. ttyl
