Hello beautiful people! I'm now a college senior studying to become an industrial engineer.

I used to be a high school cheerleader and now I'm into yoga, capoeira, and running!!! Sometimes I go swimming.

I love being an athlete and I believe that what I learn in my trainings help me in everything that I do like academics etc. I want to be able to show my friends and family how great it feels like to lead an active and healthy life together.

I love being an athlete and I believe that what I learn in my trainings help me in everything that I do like academics etc. I want to be able to show my friends and family how great it feels like to lead an active and healthy life together.

I still have my own struggles with loosing these percentage of body fat, I'm not so much about loosing weight anymore but it would make me feel very happy and accomplished if I were able to reach my goal of 125 lbs. I've been trying hard for two years to get to this weight but I've only ever reached 127 lbs and I still had a tummy that wasn't flat :D

I'm scared and excited and I'm going to do my best THIS YEAR!

My fitness idols would be Jillian Michaels, MMA fighter Gina Carano, and Taylor Lautner (love his back flips), and ALL of my capoeira professors, instrutors and Mestres, the whole capoeira family. :))

My Goals:
1. To ran a 5k each month which starts this July.
2. To eat healthy and mindfully to help me shrink my belly fat.
3. To believe in myself and overcome my fear of the floor to be able to finally do a macaco.
4. Get to 125 lbs.
5. Have a body fat percentage of 25%.

My Program:
Capoeira 1x/week
Running w/friends 1/w
Body combat 1x/week
Body pump 1x/week
Gym sessions 2x/week
Re-training for a 5k run
8 hours of activity per week

Other Information:
Just got accelerated to yellow orange cord in capoeira!

Hey, I just found your page when I searched for "capoeira" on sparkpeople. It's pretty sad that so few people on here do it; I was even hoping there would be a team for it. I think it's a great way to have fun and burn some calories.

I've been doing it for about a year, and I'm still not very good at it but I have noticed a definite change in my stamina and in my upper body strength. (I can't do a macaco either)

Seems like you are doing an awesome job on the way to your goals. Keep up the good work!

Edit: Just found the capoeira team through your SparkTeams... now why didn't that show when I did a site search?

Thanks for dropping by my blog a few days ago. I was never a cheerleader, but I used to love dance class. Now I do yoga (easier on the hips--I'm over 50) Best of luck with your education. I know you'll avoid the Freshman 15!

Someone mentioned to me that if you increase your water intake, it reduces your hunger. I always thought that was a bunch of hooey. But I'm drinking about 15 cups of water a day, and my hunger seems to be greatly reduced. When I was drinking 8 to 10 cups I was still experiencing a lot of hunger. Then I got this new water bottle from Costco, and it really helps me to increase my water intake. (they come in a set of 3, and you can clip them to your belt loops when walking)
