Hi, I read your comment on the small changes challenge. We too have an old dog, but being a border collie, she's 13.5, she can still go on walks over an hour and a half..most days it's only an hour. Our Husky is 4 and she has lots of energy. I can sure understand what you are dealing with though. Our previous dog, the Auzzies on my page died of heart disease and his last year was a very slow one. We took turns walking the "fast" dog.. I like yard work too and have tons of it all the time it seems. oh, I added you as a friend.. I'll be 62 this year and have been sparking for 4 plus years now.. emoticon

I have faith your surgery will go well! Blessings! Yes, Chicagoans are tough--I am originally from the area!

Welcome to Spark. I'm a permanent fixture here and still after 8 years share your appreciation for this supportive community.

You have a very smart goal. When my mother fell and ended up in rehab, the therapist assured me that she would be fine since it's a lot easier for a 120 pound woman to get back on her feet than for a 220 pound woman.

    Good luck.
