My name is Julie. I am a 14 year survivor of uterine cancer. While I am not considered cured, I am considered stable. I am currently on drugs for my cancer of which the main side effect is weight gain, so I have a difficult time losing weight., but I am determined to get some weight off.

I work as a chemist, reviewing the data for my group.

My husband and I have a small hobby farm. We have around 20 laying hen and 7 sheep: Ace is our ram, then Amber, Abbey, ...

I work as a chemist, reviewing the data for my group.

My husband and I have a small hobby farm. We have around 20 laying hen and 7 sheep: Ace is our ram, then Amber, Abbey, Annabelle, Cora, Charlotte and Clover are our ewes.
We will be having lambs in the spring. Over the summer we will raise chickens and turkeys.

We have a dog Murfy, he is Cardigan welsh corgi, and three cats CD, Tigger and Keley.

My passion is quilting, but also enjoy spinning and knitting. I could spend days in my sewing room, but since we have the sheep I have learned to spin and I am slowly using the wool from our sheep.

I also play the cello in the Gleewud String Quartet and the Beaver Dam Area Orchestra.

I enjoying working out most days. I work one -on- one with a trainer, Nickie once a week, then I am in small group training session with Randy once a week. I try to walk outside or on the treadmill the rest of the week.

Fitness Goals:

1) Run/walking the 10 mile Crim race in Flint, MI in Aug 2015.

2) Working up to running a 5K

Weight goal:

1)To loose the 15 lbs by April

General Goals:

1) Complete 4 of my UFO quilting projects.

2) Make at least 12 quilts for charity.

3) Learn to play one movement of a Bach Cello Suites.

My Program:
1) Attend small group session with Randy,once a week.

2) Meet with Nickie for one-on-one session each week

3) Walk at least 3x a week. Working up to running a 5K

Weight goal:

1) Track food



Personal Information:
I grew up in Michigan but have lived in Wisconcin since 1990

I am a graduate of Central Michigan University.





Other Information:
My hobbies include knitting, quilting and music.

I belong to the Prairie Piecers Quilt Guild.

I play my cello in a string quartet and in a community orchestra.

Thanks for the lovely blog comment, l'm glad your spring is underway. Ours is very variable, we had snow again yesterday and it's still very cold and windy even though the sun is out. The forecast says to gradually get warmer over the next few days...hope it happens!

Things are starting to move over here, the snowdrops have been out for a while and l've crocus out too.
Our weather is variable, we've had hail and rain with strong cold winds this week plus a couple of days of sunshine but very cold winds...can't seem to make up its mind what to do! emoticon
