I've been here since September of 2012. I've made some Great SP friends and I'm made some progress but I've also had some challenges this year that made my progress seem none existent.

Half my battle was waged before I got here. I've been working out since 1997. One thing I've discovered is, you can workout till you pass out, but if your not watching those calories coming in....your still gonna gain weight....sigh.

Half my battle was waged before I got here. I've been working out since 1997. One thing I've discovered is, you can workout till you pass out, but if your not watching those calories coming in....your still gonna gain weight....sigh.

Since this past April, I've been concentrating on really making progress. I've changed up my workouts a lot due to an accident I had where I broke/fractured 3 transverse processes in my lumbar spine.

One great thing about my accident is it showed me you don't have to sweat your tush off to get results. I've fallen in love with Barre workouts and walking.

I've also changed my way of eating and thinking. If it has a label on it, I'm really not so sure I want to put it in my mouth. We've really been trying to hit the farmers (actual farms sell food, who knew) and farmers market and Whole Foods for natural foods. It has changed my snacking habits for sure and because I'm so against one time use products, we save money and I drink more water (from the tap because it's free and actually better than bottled water).

Thanks, Celeste! I was fine, in good hands with the Dentist who did the root canal, that is about all he does and he did the last one I had about 3 years ago. He is very good and makes sure that you feel no pain.
Then Matt went into Fort Worth and got rear-ended by a guy who was a diabetic and in a stupor. He is calling the guy's insurance company now and trying to see what we need to do. I hate all the mess and rigamorole you have to go through with stuff like this! Hopefully all will turn out well, and I won't have to get my brother (who is our lawyer) involved! emoticon

Love your Spark Page, the horses are beautiful. My oldest brother lives on a ranch with horses and cows and chickens, etc. They love it. I would live on a farm if I could BUT my hubby is a CITY BOY! emoticon
Have a great week.

I have been thinking about you! Glad you got to spend some time house sitting at the farm and taking care of all the horses! Believe me, it must have been a real relief for the owners to know they had someone they could trust in their house, and taking care of the animals. Our friends told us (when we house-sat for them and cared for their animals) that it was the first vacation they took in a long time where they didn't worry about the animals. It WAS a lot of fun, too! emoticon

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I know why she doesn't let us come out until later. All the horses are turned out until they come in around 1:30 or 2. If you pull one in early, they all think it is time to come in. It just gets frustrating some time. I've known these people for forever and no one gives the care that they do. It starting as a retirement/rehab facility and then they agreed to take some other "special" horses. At first, they let us come out when we wanted, but it just raised havoc among the other horses and I can respect that. Every other barn around me are pretty much expensive training barns and I am done with the showing thing!
