Celeste'

Hi my name is Celeste'.
Sparks has taught me about calories and exercise which are a BIG part of fixing the problem. I did well with this.

However, this year I have to come in from a different angle, one where I dont let male compliments send me scurrying back to emotional safety of fat layers. I have to tell myself they are just that "compliments" not molestation proposals. Emotional scars run deep, but not so deep that they cant be fixed. Well Im hoping that statement ...

My Goals:
I only have two goals this year.

1) To arm myself against fear of being complimented and gaining the weight again.

2) Taking time for myself and making others responsible for themselves in every facit of life.

My Program:
I've changed to eating healthy foods.
Very much smaller portions but more often.

Personal Information:
I have happily been one of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1975.
I live in a little but beautiful town called George in South Africa.
I moved here 20 years ago and want to live no where else.
I met my beloved husband here, and for me that rates George in my very good books.

Other Information:
I love learning new things esp relating to health.
I currently do iridology, reflexology, acupressure and massage therapy. My interest in medicine began when I nursed my younger sister till her death with colon cancer. Its a case of wish I knew then what I know now, but cant turn back the hands of time.

To become less concerned with what people might be thinking, and less upset
by negative things others may say.

Never guess what others might be thinking.
Value Yourself
Live your own life
Make your own choices.
Value your own opinions.
Choose to associate mostly with positive people who support you.
and don't care what people think or say about you, you know who you are.

Celeste', I am sure you are right in large part. When I was in St. Croix, we walked...mostly at a stroll...for most of 3 hrs in the ministry every morning. I had NO idea it was working on my health..I didn't consider it exercise. It helped keep my blood sugars in line and my weight under control. That was something of an eye opener when I realized that much later. I DO think the walking...and stair climbing...I do now has a lot to do with the slow success. I especially think so since I bumped up from 10000 steps to 5 miles...usually around 11500. steps. Fitbit has helped a lot in keeping me moving. Thanks for posting on the blog. Thinking of you more than you know! Love you!
