My Goals:
My goal has three parts:

1) remain smoke-free

2) weigh 150 pounds

3) run 5Ks

My Program:
I change my program as I reflect on my progress or setbacks. Historically, Couck2-5K; BLC; and eating healthy work well for me. I seem to be more motivated in the spring and fall when the weather is more temperate.

Personal Information:
Hi! My name is Connie and I am from Virginia. My kids are grown and I have two Grands. I live with my husband and our adopted fur-babies.

I am an advocate for all who need it. I have a soft spot for dogs and find myself rescuing many of them over time. They give back more than I could ever give to them.

My weight journey: I was thin most of my life but gained a lot after my divorce. I was about 230 at my heaviest (on my second wedding day) in February 2014.

I want to get fit and be healthy and strong so I can more fully enjoy life. There are Grand-babies to spoil and pups to rescue, so I need to take good care of myself in order to better care for others.

Other Information:
My biggest struggle in life is consistency. It seems I can only "be good" for a limited period of time before something de-rails me. Sickness, loss, sadness, or just random black clouds sneak in and pull me down. I am learning to grab life by the horns while I can and to be patient with myself during times when my body or mind takes a break. I have to accept that these periods of rain will always return. But so will the rainbow.
