Thanks for commenting on my blog! I am in Grand Rapids, MI - about 30 miles from the Lake Michigan shore.
The virtual walk - it was one of those ideas to keep me focused because I lose interest after a month. I have a dear friend in Arizona. So I went to Google Maps, plugged in the address and my address as the starting point, I selected walking as my form of transportation and it plotted out a map for me. I then printed off the step by step directions, so I can figure out where I am. It was fun walking parts of historic route 66 - I actually could pull up pictures of places along the way. Now I am in some corn fields in Illinois, not much to see! Can't wait to see the banks of the mighty Mississippi River! I figure I will hit Phoenix in about a year!!!
Have an awesome day!

Hi CeeJay! I DO get to read comments posted on blogs..even when they come long after the initial post. I was interested in what you said on your page about diabetes being the kick you needed to work towards getting healthy. I think it was for me, also. I have had ups and downs with that journey as well, but in the end, I am healthier because of it.
As to the stair climbing. My daily goal is a minimum of ten flights a day. I have managed to accomplish the Fitbit 75 flight goal, but admit, I was quite sore afterward. Not eager to go for 100. Fitbit has been so good for me, too. Now I also have linked with several friends and it stimulates my daily efforts...most of the time.
I wish you success...with walking, stair climbing and keeping Fitbit challenges going. Thanks for visiting and posting on my blog.
