Hi! I am Cathy, 57 years old and have been trying to loose the same ten pounds for at least 5 years. I was feeling hopeless when I ran across SparkPeople, a year ago. I did well the first 3 months when I joined, but when school started I gradually fizzled out. I am back and ready to give it another go. I'm very excited to be a part of this community. I have been married for 27 years and have 3 children. I have twin 17 year old daughters, who I just sent off to college, and a 21 year old son, who is a Senior in college. This is my tenth year teaching special education.

My Goals:
are to lose 10 pounds and to exercise consistently.
My Program:
I am eating healthy fresh food and trying to keep my calories under 1500 a day. I have joined a gym where I will work with a personal trainer 2x a week, until I can't afford it anymore or until I become motivated enough to go to the gym and follow the program on my own. I plan to go to the gym 2 more times a week to do a class or work on the machines, doing cardio.

I have a brand new hobby of gardening.
I love hiking.
I am into "clean eating".
