Loved your page. It brought back memories of my kids going to college and all the drama, I so miss it now. My kids are now 28 and 30! I know what you mean about the 10 pounds! I think I have been gaining and losing that same 10 pounds for 15 years now at least. Its a constant battle and Im hoping to now get it under control. I think it finally hit me that its not a diet but a lifestyle change has to last forever. It sounds like you are doing great with the gym and I wish I could afford a trainer as that would be a great push. I am going to stick to my Turbofire and shakeology and hope to have a new body in 2014. We can do this! Happy New Year!

Yes, the sorority "dues" are typical, I am learning. Maddie is currently using some scholarship money to pay for her sorority dues. I think the first semester is the most expensive or something, then it supposedly costs less...(?). I think Maddie will be in it for around $500 this semester. I'd disapprove, except that she left for the dorms in a delicate state (medicated and receiving therapy for an anxiety condition), and the involvement with sorority seems to be very good for her! She is thriving, and enjoying it so much. Grades must be kept up in order to maintain membership, so that's a good incentive, I think.
My pair are fraternal too. I'm up here in Redding (about 2 hours north of Sac). I went to A.R. (American River college), and lived in Sac for a couple of years. DEFINITELY more to do in your neck of the woods!

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog page! And yeah, having a trainer is pretty rad (especially since mine is awesome AND free!!!) I generally see him once a week, and I'm supposed do the program he designed me twice a week on my own. I had my session for this week today, and holy was it hard! He really worked me hard today! But I enjoy our sessions a lot.
I'll be sad when the project is over!

Cathy that is SO UNCANNY that we have all that in common! lol!!! I just got back from visiting the twins at Sonoma state this past weekend, and yeah.... after filling up their tank with gas, supplying them each with 2 rolls of quarters for the laundry room, stocking up on dorm essentials (soap, toilet paper, snacks, etc), and extras like treating them to a movie and a mani-pedi, I can say my "grocery savings" kind of went out the window! And I know YOU know on a teacher's salary, that's a chunk! Hope you had decent Monday. Honestly, I have "retirement daydreams" a lot these days!
