Starting out strong in 2011
After some setbacks with my health (and attitude) in 2010, I'm starting fresh in 2011 and getting into gear. No more procrastinating! It's the only life I've got, and it's time to make it the best one I can! Some goals I have for myself this year are: 1. Finally finish that pesky couch to 5k program. I've been close twice now, only to be derailed by injury. Now that I know how to take care of my issues though, (chronic trochanteric bursitis and IT band syndrome) ...
Now that I know how to take care of my issues though, (chronic trochanteric bursitis and IT band syndrome) I feel better equipped to make it through the entire 9 weeks! 2. Concentrate on getting in tons of fresh fruits and vegetables every day, and increase my water intake. 3. Focus on non-scale victories (how clothing fits, consecutive gym days, completing the C25k program), not just the scale. 4. Meet my goal of 160 by spring. 5. Have one day a week a "meatless" day. Find alternate sources of protein. 6. Do things that "scare" me...not literally, but get out more on my own and not be afraid to try new things even if I don't have a buddy with me. Get out and live my life! What do you say, are you all with me?

My Goals:
-Be more consistent about eating healthy and working out. -Get off all blood pressure medication. -Feel energized in the AM instead of super-tired. -Make more time for activities that I love! -Budget my time wisely between work and play! -Continue to make my artwork a priority and get some new pieces in local art shows!
My Program:
My current program includes training with the Couch to 5k program, alternating with circuit training with a stability ball and weights. I'm always mixing up my circuit training program to combat boredome. I'm also a walking fool, so whenever the weather permits I love to be outside hiking or walking around!
Personal Information:
My necessities for working out: my FitBook, my iPod Shuffle, and my KOR water vessel. In addition to retail, I am also an artist. I was chosen as one of 250 artists for the 250th anniversary of Pittsburgh.
