Getting Condensed

I hereby toss about 34 pounds, more or less, out into the ether. Slowly and I hope I can pick and choose which ones *grin*.

My diet started two or three weeks before I joined Sparkpeople: my initial weight was 224 pounds. So, don't go by what's here.

(I am six foot one, so that is why my goal might seem too modest for the general viewer. I was totally happy at 190 pounds in so many ways. This site recommends 178 for me, 12 pounds less. I will be content at 190 ...

My Goals:
Get in shape, get down to a healthy weight for my height (I am six foot tall). Excercise more - yardwork, hiking, eventually buying that bike! Finding a place to swim (that doesn't make you triple up to go the same speed as everyone else in your lane... feh).

My Program:
I don't have a named program; and it may modify as I do this. Remove highly processed foods from diet, go more towards a South Beach sort of thing, low refined carb, make my own lunches, increase veggie content and largely avoid factory farmed meat. Be selective about fats. No fake sugars. Learn to set volume limits.
