I just want to fit into my stuff again

I used to be one of those obnoxious people who could eat anything and never gain weight. I couldn't gain weight when that was the goal even. It's not longer the case and now I really have to start paying more attention to what I eat and what I do.

Other things - I'm in the process of doing a re-write on a book I hope to ultimately get published.

Spiritually - I consider myself a non-denominational pagan. ;)

I am seriously addicted to reading books. It's rare for me to be reading less than three books as a time. I am so addicted, that I recently decided to give in to the audiobook world. The 15 minute commute to work was just "free" time I wasn't reading.

My Goals:
The newest goal (as of 9-25-2014) :

I've managed to stay in goal range for a year, but I have jaw sugery coming up, so I've been trying to stay on the high side of the range.

Attempting the C25K program again. I hate running, but I hate that me knees make it almost impossible to run. If I quit running, I want it to be on my terms. Besides, I signed up for a zombie 5k and I'm scared to death of zombies, so I really have to get my time down so I'm tortured for a shorter amount of time. ;)

My Program:
Tracking my food and workouts.

Trying to extend the amount of time I can live through a cardio workout.

Start finding ways to give myself more time for writing.

Personal Information:
Married for 23 years. We have 3 boys.

The oldest (age 26) is autistic and recently found a job after being out of work for most of last year after a bout of severe depression.

The middle son (affectionately called the boy) is 22 and studying creative writing and music in college. He made the Dean's List spring and this past fall semester. But then to keep us on our toes, was put on academic probation. Hoping for a strong return in the fall.

The youngest is 9. Yes, we did forget how that happens. He loves camping, baseball, basketball, running around, reading, telling stories.

Other Information:
I have alternate realities in my head that I write about. If I could get something published, that would be wonderful, but unlikely. Still going to give it a try though.

I read. My husband says I'm addicted, but I could stop any time I wanted to. Not likely to happen in my lifetime.

I'm celebrating my 5 year anniversary with Spark People. I've lost 54 pounds thanks to motivating and supportive Spark friends like you! I have some more to lose but am grateful for where I am because of things you've shared during your journey! Thank you so very much for being there!

Thanks for the supportive and encouraging words on my blog. I was thinking about my dad this morning on my walk and it occurs to me that, despite his years as a diabetic and his love of sweets, he went many years without medication and he has not developed those other issues that come with uncontrolled diabetes. His secret probably was losing the weight and staying thin.

I'm going to eat a more defined lunch which should help the constant reaching for food. I'm also planning to make it more veggie oriented and, really, is there a better time of year to be doing that??!

Thanks again!!

Each day that you open your eyes to a new dawn is, in fact, a re-birth, a shift and a chance to start over.
What has gone before is gone; endless possibilities exist as you move forward.
Allow yourself to embrace the New and the Now you are experiencing.

I haven't got to give my lecture until 31st August - but am going to be away this weekend, and then at work until a day off on 31st! I'm a lousy pre-preparer - and almost always leave it to that adrenaline-filled last minute - no matter how much I try to get prepared in advance!
