Crystal's Journey To Healthy Living

My name is Crystal and I am 24 of age. I have been over weight my entire life. Now that I'm older I am starting to see how my weight is effecting my life. I joined Sparkpeople to learn how to live a healthier lifestyle to loose weight.
Growing up over weight does take its toll on a person over time. You learn at a very early age just how ugly people can be. However I was able to take that negative and make it positive and I am a better person because of it.

Growing up over weight does take its toll on a person over time. You learn at a very early age just how ugly people can be. However I was able to take that negative and make it positive and I am a better person because of it.
It wasn't been until the last year or so that I have notice the strain being over weight has put on my life. There are places that I can not go, things that I can not do, and people I can't keep up with. I'm here now to say enough is ENOUGH. I want my life back and I am here to claim it . My life is worth more then just sitting on the sidelines. There are way too many thing I want to do in life and I deserve to do them.
I invite you all to join me on this journey. It's gonna be long and it gonna be hard. But in the end it gonna be soo worth it.

My Goals:
1. To prove to myself that I can loose the weight and become healthier.
2. Delete the word "Diet" from my vocabulary and replace it with "health lifestyle"
3. Find fun ways to loose weight and keep it off

My Program:
My program is learning to live healthier. I'm seeing doctor regular to make sure I'm on the right track and meeting with a nutritionist to help me learn how to eat healthier. I am making little small goals for weight loose because its easier to make a bunch of small steps then to make one huge jump.

My Two Cents: Doing something kind for someone can make there day. Imagine you were having a bad day and some random stranger held the door open for you, told you "Hello" or simply gave you a smile in passing, that could make your mood change. We don't always know why people are grumpy, angry or depressed, but showing them a kindness can make a world of difference to them. Be kind to someone this week and I bet you'll make their day or at least a moment.
