Free Range Ramblings

I'm a mid-forties mom of two grade schoolers (yup, I started pretty late on that). I'd really like to be around when they grow up, so it's time to get serious about my fitness. My sister started sparkpeople several months ago, and I'm just following in her footsteps.

My Goals:
I want to improve my fitness and overall health. I'm measuring this in several ways: how enjoyable and consistent is my exercise? What is my total weight? What is my % body fat? What are my measurements? How strong is my ability to manage sugar cravings?

My Program:
I'm doing a beginning strength training 3x/week and 20-40 minutes of cardio every day. I'm also doing yoga at least twice a week. I'm (honestly) tracking my nutritional intake every day. I'm actually WEIGHING and measuring myself (ack!).

Other Information:
I've been at or around 145 lbs since high school. The last time I was effortlessly at an ideal weight was pre-puberty. I've had two or three times when I got down to 125-130 lbs or so, but otherwise its been 145 and bingy eating. But! I'm an optimistic person and believe that at some point people can choose to change. So here I am!
