I am ready to ramp up my exercise, improve my eating habits, make healthy choices, and work hard to reach my goals!

Bottom line is that this time I am NOT quitting! Our bodies change as we get older, and I just have to accept that I'm not going to lose weight as quickly as I did when I was younger. As long as I keep working on healthy habits, I know I will get there eventually.

My Goals:
Ultimately to lose the excess weight by incorporating a healthy lifestyle.

For September:
#1 to be able to increase distance to 2 miles -goal met - 9/8/2014
#2 - increase walking distance to 2.5 miles by end of September goal met - 9/9/2014
#3 - to be able to increase walking speed to 3 MPH
9/8/2014 - 2.5 MPH
9/20/2014 - 3 MPH - goal met!



My Program:
Currently walking every day - weather permitting - as well as stretching to regain flexibility in my ankle.
Also working on adding strength training and some workout videos.

Eating more fruits and vegetables. Trying to limit the unhealthy choices by not having them around the house in the first place.

Joining challenges to try and keep me on track.

Personal Information:
I'm in Woodridge, IL. Married with 2 grown children - both married. Avid gardener. Animal lover.

Other Information:
Age is just a number. It's a case of mind over matter - if you don't mind, it doesn't matter!

Maybe your old scale is like a battery in a clock that is running out of juice. It's slow and doesn't tell time correctly. So you thought it was accurate but it was wearing out so didn't reflect the true number for a bit. By any chance did you try weighing on a friends scale?

In any event, you're stepping into gear and have a plan of action laid out to take care of the problem. Now we'll just implement it!

Just checking on you. Thank you for your continued support. I am in WW now and with the new program this week I lost 7.4! I was shocked.

How are you doing? I have a new word to go by. Transformation. I want to be transformed this year. What would your word be?
