A lovely little girl was holding two apples with both hands. Her Mom came in and softly asked her little daughter with a smile: “Sweetie, could you give your Mom one of your two apples?” The girl looked up at her Mom for some seconds, then she suddenly took a quick bite of one apple, and then quickly of the other. The Mom felt the smile on her face freeze. She tried hard not to reveal her disappointment. Then the little girl handed one of her bitten apples to her Mom, and said: "Mommy, here you are. This is the sweeter one."
Just got back from Dallas. Picked up my sweetie at the airport. My grandson wanted to have lunch. He told us he is engaged. He loves us. Thinks we are the 'adventurous grandparents' LOL. Some people might think so but then I'm afraid of heights and roller coasters.
I know what you mean - I occasionally thought about telling someone "The type doesn't show up well on that color," but figured, if they liked it, it was their choice. I used to do Control+A; sometimes just selecting it would highlight it sufficiently to be easier to read. If that didn't work, and if I really wanted to read it, I could always copy-and-paste. I don't believe dark colors etc. had anything at all to do with this decision. They made a decision based on the MINORITY of people who preferred dark colors on their pages?!? Really?!? Then why didn't they simply make those colors unavailable? That's fairly easily done, and wouldn't affect the majority. Nah. That's just an excuse. That kind of excuse (either a lie or they think we're dumb enough to fall for it) irritates the heck out of me. At least accord me the respect of giving me an honest answer. IMHO
Hi Cathy! I'm well and spring is here and ushering in summer. I'm still losing 1-2lbs a week just haven't been in the mood for blogs lately. Are you doing well? Have a great night! 7 days ago
