I'm not quitting this time

I've had enough of starting an not finishing. Watching others participate, existing instead of living. I want to be fit so I can do the things I love - gardening, playing with (future) grandkids, sports - without having to stop and rest all the time.

We can do anything we really really want.. emoticon
Decided to learn about craigslist, the scammer, how to make my ads stand out and more all for free on youtube. August is going to be hot and depending on others to have to help do a garage sale, is not good maybe I can do this a little at a time and get rid of it all within the next year. and Craigslist is free I do like the sound of that.
Here's to the last half of the journey for me. Can't wait. Velvet emoticon

WOW hon !! What a way to MESS Up ur ankle !! So sorry for the boyz you didn't get a cast on !! LOL they DO LOVE to sign it,, I've had friend ask, but I love it as it "is". THough maybe now that its coming off this week,, I'[ll let them. LOL it'll thrill them,,, guess nothing wrong with that !

I hope you can heal the way they want,,,, sounds quite interesting all you have been thru !! PLZ DO for now,, count ANYTHING towards exercise,,, for as I learned,, if I sweat, breathe heavier,,,, work harder than "the current situation" it DOES COUNT !! So if Chris (SPARKGUY) chooses you ,,, you 'll need to go in and correct ur post,,, you can easily count what ur doing as exercise,,, after all ,,,, even when walkin,,, if you mix up ur routine,, you will LOSE more. I've had those on the 5% challenge teawm (The Spirited Under Dawgs) be ALMOST at goal,, who were doing the SAME exercise over and over we talked,, they've changed that,, and are NOW being Very Successful in the final 5 lbs coming off !! WOHOOO !! one has been at that 5 lb to lose for about 3 yrs,,,, she hung in,,, but when we talked to her back 4 weeks ago,,, its leaving her !! WOOHOOOO !!

Hope this helps,,,,,, you can put any housework,, under that, it's listed under FITNESS ,,, go thru the Browse,, or type in House work,,,, it'll pop UP !! one burns ALOT of cals doing so !! WOOHOOOOO !! CONGRATS !!

Oh yeah,, and I GIGGLED/LAUGHED quite hard "the boyz were concerned about the cake/cup cakes to decorate them" I AM SURE they were ! LOL Kids are sooo cute !

HI ! I read ur post,, it was the one b4 mine,, on SPARKGUYS blog,, with the humming bird pic.

SO SORRY you have ALSO had surg,, or was it an injury?

I had surg on June 16th and went from a partial cast then 2 weeks after it,,, now in a NEON yellow one also up to my knee,,, it'll hit 2 almost 3 weeks next Fri when it comes off,, and I am FINALLY after these almost 5 weks,, on Tues ALLOWED to sit up again !! PHEW !! I can even go out,, but am limited to 2 hrs a day of whatever I do. I am finding sitting up for longer than 20 mins, to be quite painful. I do that when eating something, which can't done in the usual laying down (reclining ) position on the couch or bed,,, those 2 places and the bathroom are my ONLY ALLOWABLE places to go, but right now I am single (aww the Grands are all grown up now,,, , I MISS the days of them ALWAYS staying over,, right up to Sept when one of my GDs got married ! I am in my 50s,,,, LOL),,,, so I NEED to get my own food/water,, though I DO have a LOT of company, and when they are here,, I ask them to do that for me, still they can't be here 24/7 (GD and her H were the fist week). On week 6,,,,, I go into crutches,, and CAST FREE FINALLY ! !!! YEAH !! Than on week 8,, I am SUPPOSED to??? be able to put weight on the foot,, FINALLY !! Than I see the Dr on week 11,,, to be cleared that all is well. :)

What did you have done if it was surg,, or how did you hurt it? I had my 18th surg on feet,,,, it was for a toe which had turned sideways,, almost upside down,, it's very fragile,,,, this prob did not work,, I'l be soo surprised if it did !) it's the 5th surg for tthis problem. If it did NOT work,, it'll mean an amputation. I've been headed towards that,,, so if it is,, it is. I know this surg we did in June,, was a risk. I'll deal with it,,, eventually I can lose the entire foot. I am living again in Maine, b4 this I had for a short time lived in Colorado,,, saw some of the countries TOP Drs,, they just wanted to amputate both feet,, so we shall see if that's the way it ends up.

For excersing,, I am a leader on 3 teams,, one of them for those who are disabled and losing,,,, and the one I am MOST active in,, a CL (Challenge leader) with 4 other leader,,, who work just under me,, as supports,,, over any where's from 42 to 50 who are trying hard to lose 5% of their weight in 8 weeks,, some do this ! I am TRYING HARD to this Summer Challenge !!! I pretty much remind ALL no matter their physical shape,,, EVERY ONE CAN Exercise,,, they just need to expand their horizons, and never settle for NO !!

I am on COMPLETE bedrest,,, allowed to ONLY go to the couch, to bed,, and also bathroom,,,, that is IT !! (Well I ALSO from tinme to time,, since I live alone,, go to the kitchen if no one is here to help me out),,,,, I can STILL use my weights laying down,,, flat on back,,, casted foot on a foam resting wedge,,, quite high,, so I do NOT develop any clots,,, asprin also for that,, not clots. With my weights,,,,I can do 10 mins at a time,,,, and I do this 3 times an average a day, ,,, I can't find my bands,,, (stretching ones) for I'd add that also,,, behind me to strengthen my arms also,, if I could,,, I also lay here,, and tighten up my stomach area,,, my butt (hmmm had to stop a bit, started to from laying down so much, develop a very painful pressure sore !) and also tighten up JUST the TOPs of my legs,,,,, Ican NOT do anything with foot in cast,, it'd be FOOLISH to try to tighten up that part of my leg. I WANT /NEED this surgery to work,,, so I can keep the lf foot big toe,,, it helps me out GRETLY with my yoga when I can later on do.

HOPE this helps you to see,, YOU CAN JOIN Us on Chris's (SPARKGUY) challenge,, with some fancy thinking. being on ones bac,, with NO moving allowed off the couch, bed,,,, toilet,,,, I CAN STILL achieve something ! WOOHOOO O!!
