Hi!! I am back! Since I was on last (a little over a year ago), I lost 21 pounds. I am back at it with a new fierceness!

My Goals:
While suffering from degenerative disk disease, I am trying to get more healthy, lose weight and lessen pain!

April 2011 Goals:

I would like to build up endurance for a 5K race at the end of May, 2011.

I would like to lose 5 pounds total for the month.



My Program:
I am achieving my weight loss goal by eating healthy, a set amount of calories (1200-1550). In addition, I am jogging for 30-45 minutes 3-4 days a week, walking 30-60 minutes everyday. I am also doing numerous stretches designed for my degenerative disk disease- these seem to help lessen some of the pain.

Other Information:
I have recently acheived my Bachelor's Degree in English Literature. I am currently in the process of enrolling to Walden University for a Teacher Preparation Program. I love crocheting and spending time with my family. :) It has taken me many years to learn life is a journey. I intend to attain my goals and give lots and lots of support to my fellow Spark People!!! We can do it!!

There definitely is something to be said for "pacing" and listening to one's body as WELL as mixing up the INTENSITY of one's workouts to. Keep that body "confused" and keep shaking loose those pounds...woo hoo!

Winning (?) or being awarded two medals this month, I have become Very motivated to repeat this in the beginning of next month!!!! On this track, I WILL lose weight like no tomorrow!! HOLY fired up!! I can't wait to prove this!! Here's to MANY minutes this month!!!!

Now that the frustration has set in for college, I need to run. I hope my ankles will be able to keep up, if not speed walking here I come. grrrrr

you need to lay off runing for a few days to heal.. it could be the shoes.. and you could be lacing too tight. make sure you're stretching too. :) Look on Runnersworld.com they have alot of good stretches there.
