I'm rewriting this because... sadly... I am 33 now, instead of 32. It's very depressing to update your introduction because you just keep getting older. {And please, spare me the "well it's better than the alternative" speech. I know, I know, I get it.}

So anyway... I'm 33, and live in Columbus, Ohio. I'm married to my wonderful husband of 12 1/2 years. No kids, we'd make terrible parents. We do have 2 of the furry kind, though. A little bitty Yorkie/Chihuahua mix named ...

So anyway... I'm 33, and live in Columbus, Ohio. I'm married to my wonderful husband of 12 1/2 years. No kids, we'd make terrible parents. We do have 2 of the furry kind, though. A little bitty Yorkie/Chihuahua mix named Ginger, and a great big white boy named Beto. I know it's cliche to say, but I can't imagine living without them.

As of this morning {8/28/13}, I weighed 272 lbs. My weight has definitely gone in the wrong direction this past year, but I'm not going to beat myself up about it. Just acknowledge it and move on. I need to focus on my health more than the scale. I have Type 2 Diabetes and high cholesterol. For as much as I joke about being old... I'm too damn young to have so many health problems!

And that brings us to now. I've found my motivation, and I'm ready to tackle this task and get going!

lol - sounds like a great and useful book :) I am also reading A Parent's Guide to Aspergers and High Functioning Autism - I like to mix the practical with the fun :) Doing well - definitely done with the winter doldrums and wanting to get back on track! How are things with you these day?

Finally, finally made it to the gym for a tour and fees. Not too bad $160 to join ($110 membership fee and first and last monthly fee of $25) and then $25 per month and no contract. Just have to give them 60 days notice that you no longer want to be a member. Pool, whirlpool, indoor track, sauna, steam room, exercise class room, lots of equipment and the added bonus for me anyway is a lot of people are older like my age and even older than that (and I am getting to be as old as dirt-I am turning 61 tomorrow emoticon . I dragged former walking buddy along because she needs to get back to exercising and the pool would be ideal for her and her plantar fasciitis. I took the info and am probably going back soon to join. Former walking buddy was noncommittal. She works a few nights a week so I pointed out to her that she could go during the day and with me on the days she does not work. But I am definitely joining!! I just either still have to find my bathing suit or order a new one!!

I just wanted to let you know I have not forgotten our commitment to get to a gym!!! emoticon
