Getting Healthy

Hi, I'm 58yrs. old and decided it is never too late to get healthy. I now have time to take better care of myself and hopefully can encourage others to do so with me. I am enjoying my life's journey and hope that I can make new friends who will join me in getting fit. It can be challenging, but together we can make it a fun, sucessful journey to a healthier and fuller life..

My Goals:
I would like to have a healthier lifestyle. I want to exercise 3-4 days a week. I am trying to strength train twice a week. Along with a healthier lifestyle, I would like to grow spiritually, therefore I would like to incorporate meditation and prayer as a daily practice.

My Program:
I read my Bible every morning and Meditate and journal. It gets me focused and on tract. I go to the gym 3-4 days a week. I swim, play paddle ball or just jog in the pool 2-3 days a week. I am strating to strength train 2 times a week. I track my calories, and drink lots of water. So far so good. I check in on the message boards for lots of inspiration and encouragement.

Other Information:
I like to read, I love to make cards, and scrapbook. I volunteer at the library a few days a week. My favorite quote is...."Life is a journey, not a destination". I am enjoying the journey, and hope to make others journey more interesting, if not amusing!

What a neat idea. When we move into a house from this tiny apartment and actually have counter space, I might have to work it out.

Right now our entire counter space is taken up with stuff that would go in cupboards if we had enough! And crumby. I guess that'd convince me to be diligent about cleaning down every corner! =)

Thank you for commenting on my page :-). Yes I have been a member for sometime now but didn't take that time to do what I am doing now LOL.. I could imagine how healthy and THIN I would be had I stayed active..Oh well I am here now and ready to go, go, go... Yes these pages can often be time consuming and since I work a full day job as long as I make the time to journal in my weight book and make a little bit of time to check in here now and then I should be alright then :-)
