Hi, I use my own food plan. I have been at the losing weight thing for three years and had already made many changes in the menus I prepared before I joined SP. I need to feed my family and I am not cooking two menu's. You can use the recipe site to put in your own recipes. It is time consuming the first time but then you have your personal cookbook. Just be careful and be very clear what the portion size is because when you bring up the recipe it will only refer to serving. You have to go back to the recipe to remember what the serving size was.
During fast break you will be entering the exercise you do. From your current weight and activity level SP will give you a calorie range which will let you lose 1 to 2 lbs per week. I would aim for the center of that range. Periodically after losing a substantial amount of weight (10-15 lbs) you should recalculate your range because the less you weigh the less you need to eat to maintain that weight.
